Not that it's that important of a subject but since you countered:

I have fostered 2 dogs with severe mange. They got better after several months of treatment, got a new home and a good family.

My oldest mutt simply doesn't have floppy ears.

Indian_Dad's kids have a dog with zero tail - not so much as a nub, and he was born that way. (yes we, including humans, have "tail bones" but we dont necessarily have tails)

The rescue group won't turn away a dog simply because of a disability such as a missing leg. The dogs get along fine.
